Socratic Salon × Interintellect

A Partnership for Real Dialogue, Online

For the past year, Socratic Salons have taken place in quiet rooms across the world—off-the-record gatherings where people show up without titles, without scripts, and without the pressure to perform. Just first names, open minds, and a shared commitment to exploring difficult questions together.

We created them to revive the spirit of the original salon: part inquiry, part community, part intellectual playground. Now, for the first time, we’re bringing this format online—through a partnership with Interintellect, a platform we deeply admire for its commitment to meaningful, global dialogue.

This collaboration is grounded in shared values:

  • Intellectual seriousness without institutional gatekeeping

  • Conversations that make room for uncertainty, not just hot takes

  • Curated intimacy, where who’s in the room shapes what’s possible

Bringing these salons online allows us to do something we couldn’t before: invite voices from around the world. By removing geography as a constraint, we’re opening the door to a richer mix of perspectives, disciplines, and life experiences—and to topics that cut across borders.

Each online salon is free to attend but capped at ~10 participants, selected via a short waitlist. We aim to build rooms that feel alive—balanced across fields, geographies, and generations. As always, salons follow Chatham House Rule, and each session is distilled into a short synthesis called The Salon Papers.

Our first online salon launches June 1. To learn more or apply to join, head to the waitlist.

This is one piece of a broader experiment at Analogue: how to build institutions that nurture early ideas and ambitious thinkers before they’re legible. Our salons are one way we find them.
